Hihi Big Pink Link time again! It’s number seven today! Anyone know language the title number is in??
I’m so so happy today, last week, the really lovely Regina from You Are A Daisy linked up with this very interesting post about using Google Analytics to see what level of traffic different link ups bring to your blog. She had blanked out the names of the linkys to respect the hosts and I commented and said I’d never thought of trying this and I’d love to know how the #bigpinklink does.
This is the convo that followed. (Sharing with permission!)
Regina; Actually, I have been amazed at the traffic from #bigpinklink for the short time that I’ve been participating and the quality of engagement from its participants. (I’ve seen more traffic and engagement from #bigpinklink than from some link ups that I had participated in for much longer.) You and Lucy are doing something right!
Moi; ….To be honest, we’ve genuinely been blown away by the way it’s going. I see so much interaction between our linkers on twitter and lots of people are telling me that they are getting far more then their required two comments which is just lovely. We put so many hours in that hearing you compliment us has made my evening! 😀
Regina; I think that the link ups that draw the more engaged linkers are those with engaged hosts like you and Lucy. I think it sets the tone for everyone else to be generous and engaged. Thank you for what you ladies do!
This is so good to hear! We really feel that the #bigpinklink community is a fabulous one, but to get statistics to back that up is just wonderful! Thanks to you for getting on board with us and making it fab.
Now, bank hol, I hope your chocolate levels are at maximum saturation and you’ve had wonderful weekends. I’m out all day with family so I’ll be RTing and commenting a bit later into the eve and maybe a little slower at responding being the hols and having two monsters home to deal with but I will get to you! Promise!
Last week, I thought this creative post by Single Mum Speaks deserves 10 minutes and a cup of tea. Also this dramatic reading by Mama Zen made me giggle, I want to be her text buddy now! Lucy has three this week, (it’s getting harder and harder to limit ourselves!!), this from luvverly Agent Spitback, and this from And Then There Were Two, joining the great booby v bottle debate! And this very moving post from Gumdrops and the Bear.
