My Golden Ticket, Review and Giveaway

I saw the ‘My Golden Ticket’ books pop up on an ad on my facebook feed and thought how lovely they looked so I was thrilled when Wonderbly got in touch and asked me to review their books for them in exchange for books for my children. I just couldn’t say no to such a lovely offer. The beautiful blue and gold cover of the My Golden Ticket hardcover book surrounded by sweet treats!

Based on the famous book by Roald Dahl, this is a journey into the chocolate factory. Starting of course, with a golden ticket! The books are so personalised, giving you the chance to enter your child’s name and someone else to accompany them on their adventure. It’s important to note that this isn’t just the same story with a different name in each copy. There is a dedication at the front of the book which you can write and every name gets a different story, including their own unique candy, Oompa Loompa song and Wonkafied family tree. No two adventures are the same, handy when you have more then one child!

Those little details, along with the gorgeous graphics and rip roaring story, make this a gift that is truly special and one to keep carefully. My husband, who is not the most book orientated man, even commented on how lovely they are and how we must keep them nice for the future.

At £24.99 for a hard cover, they may not be the cheapest book, however, for a present that is so personal and will give pleasure for so many years, I think it is really worth the money. The book are very good quality with thick paper and a solid cover. The printing is excellent quality and the finish is perfect.

My friend came round and spotted them and commented on how lovely they are and asked me if anyone can order them as she’d like one for her daughter so clearly it’s a gift that attracts attention and comments.

They really do make a gorgeous present for a special occasion and something for a child to treasure for life.

You can win one of your very own by entering the giveaway below!

Books are wonderful gifts and this looks like a lovely personalised twist on a classic. Shame it’s so expensive otherwise I would have bought them for friends of my children. I’ll just have to spoil my own two to these this Christmas instead. #bigpinklink

books that include our children’s names are such a cool idea, I must admit though I actually have a phobia of the original movie and so I haven’t watched the second one. My nephews tease me all the time about it. #bigpinklink
