Recently I got to go and check out the new spa in Cheltenham with some blogging friends and have a lovely, complimentary massage thanks to the fabulous Sali Green, Cheltenham Lifestyle and Business Directory.
Roots of the Earth is conveniently situated right in the middle of town, just a little further on from the town library and is an oasis of calm in the bustling, vibrant centre. Ad/ Review – unpaid.
Small but beautiful, the spa has a tranquil waiting area with plants everywhere and the treatment rooms are lovely, and so peaceful with gorgeous decorative touches throughout. There is also an innovative thermal spa which I didn’t get time to try but have it on good authority from Emma and 3 that it is very relaxing!
The owner, Milena, really knows her stuff, as well as being a brilliant masseuse, she was a qualified physiotherapist in her native Poland and quickly picked up on some problem areas in my back. The massage was perfect, I’m really fussy with massage usually but found the pressure Milena used exactly right and I’m confident she could fix my issues with a few sessions.
Emma had reflexology with the other therapist that works with Milena and said it was very relaxing and that the therapist picked up on a number of health and emotional issues during their session. Both ladies had such a calming air and really knew their stuff about the body, focusing on the person as a whole in a very gentle, holistic way. It was very interesting to listen to them talk about the way in which they treat people’s physical and emotional needs through various complimentary therapies. We will definitely be back.
