Super Cool Joanie Clothing! Review and Giveaway. (Ended)

Recently I was asked if I would like to try some of the very cool Joanie Clothing items and write about them on the blog. I jumped at the chance. I really love their quirky, retro feel and the fact that they are just the right side of unusual for me.

Modelling the Dina Joanie top! Well trying to anyway, shot from above! Photographing yourself in clothes is tough.

For example, this gorgeous, stylish, Breton style top which has elegant mustard stripes……..and a big appliqué T-Rex on. With gold claws no less! (FYI do you have any idea how difficult it is to get photos of yourself in clothes?! Very I tells you! 😀 ) It means I can blend in with the ‘Mum Uniform’ stripes, jeans and converse at the school gates but have just enough of a ‘stand out edge’ to feel more myself.

I also chose a gorgeous high waisted denim skirt and one of their signature slogan jumpers. In pink of course. The sizing is generous I would say, definitely true to size anyway. Whatever that means, I’m not sure I’ve managed to have a uniform size across the board in forever as I can vary from a 10 to a 16 depending on where I shop.

Me standing on a pebble beach by a lake in Italy wearing a Joanie clothing jumper with a big furry coat hood up and laughing.

Generally speaking, I’m around a 12 and the top in medium is possibly even on the large side. The sweater fits perfectly in a m/l and the skirt I used my measurements and the size guide and came up with a 16. Which was far too big when it arrived. I swapped it for a 12 and that seems much better. After a holiday to Italy, (read puddings and pizza!) it’s a little tight but I’m working on that!

The fabric is very good quality and the stitching is fantastic and beautifully finished, something I really look at in clothing as trailing hems and stray threads drive me mad as a sewer myself.

Me again! Sitting on a rock on a pebble beach in a pink Brunch Club slogan jumper.

The jumper is one of their slogan jumpers and the fabric is almost a silky sweater material that is slightly reminiscent of a 90s tracksuit, (but in a good way!), and I love the bright brunch club slogan.

Another shot of me modelling a Joanie punk slogan sweater, this time with the lake in the background with some gorgeous Italian scenery.

I was so happy with the fit of the clothing, it’s designed to flatter the curves of a woman and the length of the skirt is perfect. I like either above the knee or to the ankle otherwise it can make my legs look a bit ‘cut off’. There are many items on the Joanie website that I have been eyeing up and the beauty is that they are all very reasonably prices.

Joanie are giving one lucky winner a £30 voucher to spend on their website. Even the fancy new frocks are under £50 so incredible value! Have a scroll below at just a few of the items on their site and then enter the giveaway below*.

Recently bought some of the ’50’s style swimsuits from Joanie- ended up keeping all 3 coz I couldn’t choose my favourite! But they were in the sale and SUCH a bargain.
    Love it 🙂
