Big Pink Link time. It’s September. What?! So, back to school for some, a time to start digging out those chunky knits and winter boots ready for Autumn. I’m actually a big fan of Autumn. I love those chillier days and feeling snug and warm indoors when it’s cold outside. And the leaves! Although Summer is infinitely easier when it comes to dressing children and spending lots of time energy burning outside.
So our Wows from last week, I struggled! Seriously. There was a lot of great content. I finally narrowed it down though!
My first is by Real Life Manic Mum; This post looks at the change in nights out from your teens to motherhood and it cracked me up. The image of getting ready whilst simultaneously using your foot to keep the baby out of the loo bowl was so real for me, as was the slightly over doing things in the excitement of freedom from your life as a Mama!
I also loved this; by Topsy Turvy Tribe, a letter to their gorgeous son talking about the dramatic events that happened a year ago and giving the reason behind their decision to totally change their lives. It is an amazing story and had me gripped.
One Messy Mama – For the Not So Skinny Mom – a gorgeous post on accepting your body size and shape and loving yourself for who you are. I can relate to what Jacqui has written and it is soooooo hard for some of us to lose the baby weight but hey, that’s okay!
Diary of An Imperfect Mother – Ways Children Torture Their Parents – Catie pens a rib tickling hilarious but too real self explanatory post about how our children torture us by “speaking in Minion voices” or “not flushing the toilet”. What would you add to your list?
Great job everyone, grab yourself a ‘WOW badge’ from above!
Onto the link up! Now I really hate to sound like a nag but we have noticed a drop off in comments on our host posts, which means that comments probably aren’t being left on your posts either. I realise that it’s been the summer holidays and it’s easy for these things to slip our minds but the community only works if everyone fulfils their comment requirements. It’s not fair for the people that comment religiously otherwise.
Lecture over! Hopefully it will be a better link up this week and we shall say no more about it! 😉
