After the roaring success of our event in June, we were asked over and over to do a full day event and we decided that we both love Christmas but December is always too busy and so we picked Sunday 24th November.
We fell in love with the beautiful Tortworth Court Manor hotel, nestled in the Cotswold countryside in South Gloucestershire, and they were excited for us to have our event there! We have the entire glass orangery for our creative workshops, networking and eating and drinking and a further room inside the hotel for talks. Just off the M5, in Wooten- Under-Edge, the hotel is situated between Gloucester and Bristol. It is possible to get taxis from all the train stations and we are setting up a thread in our facebook group for anyone that wants to car or taxi share. The hotel are also offering a massive 20% discount off their room rates for anyone that phones to book and quotes ‘FUN20’. Rooms on that night start at £116.10 which includes breakfast. (Price before discount.) There is also a spa at the hotel.
We have a creative flatly workshop with the very talented Amy Treasure of Tempting Recipes, who has the most stunning instagram channel and uses all kinds of props and backdrops to beautiful affect for her food photography.

The lovely Nina Spencer will be talking about her reasons why she blogs in an inspirational talk about mental health and how getting online has really helped her.
Olivia Northcote, an exceptionally talented stylist who has transformed both mine and Emma’s wardrobes through her day job as a stylist for John Lewis will be talking about upcoming trends for Christmas and teaching us some clever tucks and tweaks to get the most out of our clothes.

We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Florismart onboard, with their amazing wreath workshop. They train and supply flowers to over 2000 florists across the UK and really know their stuff when it comes to flowers and teaching! Taking place in the stunning glass roofed orangery, (one of only two this well preserved in the UK), they will show everyone the basics. Like how to stuff your frame with moss, but then, here’s the very best bit, you will be presented with a pre-stuffed frame so you can just do the fun bits, and helped to add everything else needed to make it look front door ready. The wreaths are worth approximately £45 which is just incredible and the skills you will take away with you are priceless. Imagine the money you will save year after year!

Eating and drinking.
The whole point of these events is to meet up with old friends, make new ones and just generally network in a friendly and relaxed way. Being online so much means we often have friends that we only see once or twice a year and this is, for many of us, ‘our Christmas works do’! And what is very important at a work’s do and particularly at Christmas? Eating and drinking! Greeted on arrival by tea and coffee and breakfast bites, there will be a break at 11 for cake, a full buffet lunch, served in the Orangery and a further break for even more cake inn the afternoon. We don’t anticipate anyone feeling hungry on the day! Dietary requirements can be catered for with notice. Above is an example of their afternoon tea, to give you an idea of the cakes they can make there!
Tickets are just £55 which includes everything mentioned above and a goody bag to take away with you, not to mention your beautiful, handmade wreath to hang on your door. Get yours here.
