I recently had some headshots done with the lovely Jenny from Jenny Giles Photography and I am absolutely thrilled with them. It can be really hard to have photos of yourself when you are the family’s photographer and I was tired of sending in rather rubbish selfies when asked for photos for columns. (Photos gifted for review.)

The other reason that I don’t have that many photos of myself is that I find it really awkward having them taken. There are hardly any photos of me as a teen for that reason and although I have got better as I’ve got older, especially since becoming a mum as I want my children to have lots of pictures for them to look back on with me in, most are selfies!

Luckily Jenny is very very good at putting people at their ease and gave great direction about how to stand and what direction to look in. It was really helpful to have that kind of instruction to follow as it took away the uncertainty of posing for me. She took me out and about around Cheltenham and knew the perfect spot to go with my bike, the veranda covered in wisteria at the entrance to Sandford Park. We also did some interior photos for variety.

I am so pleased with my new photos, I feel like they are a great reflection of my personality and everyone that has seen that has been so complimentary. The editing time on them was super speedy too. Jenny is based in South West Wales but has recently gone mobile and is covering Gloucestershire as she is in the area regularly. She will also cover further afield and has recently returned from Ibiza where she was photographing a retreat. I am also in the middle of a photography course she is running in Cheltenham at the moment and have gained so much knowledge already.

Jenny will be giving the talk at the Maven Connex blogger’s morning in Cheltenham next month, (alongside a chocolate demo and a gin tasting with goody bags worth over £100!) and she will also offering an event special of a new headshot for just £15.00. Tickets are only £22.50.
What absolutely gorgeous photos of you! Love them and always nice to see your smiling face 🙂
