We need to talk about the conditions of my imprisonment – Book Review and Giveaway.

We need to talk about the conditions of my imprisonment (and other funny parenting stories) – Compiled by Michelle Tan.

Some of the funniest bloggers in the parenting field from across the globe have been gathered together in this side splittingly funny compilation of short stories. These writers have made me fall about in fits of giggles on more then one occasion.

Sleep deprivation, complicated philosophical questions, misheard words, snack-time politics, feral children, and endless advice you don’t need. If you don’t laugh, you might cry because parenting can be absurd sometimes.

A new book from Wallace Publishing, We Need to Talk About the Conditions of My Imprisonment…and Other Funny Parenting Stories, is a great reminder to parents everywhere that parenting IS absurd. It’s not you, it’s them. Although sometimes it’s you. But they started it.

Compiled by Michelle Tan, the collection features seriously funny writers from the UK, USA and Australia.

The themes of the stories are all related to parenting and the comedy gold moments these writers share with us will have you laughing, snorting, and probably nodding along in agreement too.

There are 18 stories in the book and they are the perfect length to pick up and fit in to a quick escape break to the toilet or that last moment of consciousness before you pass out at night. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find it difficult to read a whole book without losing the plot, (sometimes quite literally as you try and concentrate!), and so this is just perfect for picking up whenever you have a spare moment.

You can follow Ms Awesome Mother Extraordinaire, the compiler of all the hilarity on social media, laugh along with her on facebook, living her best Mum life and failing Pinterest left, right and centre. She’s also on Twitter. You could even meet her and many of the other hilarious contributors at the launch of the book this Saturday, 21st April, at a very family friendly event at Xscape Yorkshire in Castleford, Leeds.

Best of all, I’m offering you a chance to win your very own copy when the book is released!
